Because my father was in the Air Force for half a second, I was born in Colorado Springs.  Can’t believe the city of my birth is on fire.  Interestingly the city I grew up in and spent most of my life—Atlanta—was once burned down to the ground.  Not in my lifetime of course, but it certainly puts my mortality in perspective.
