If it were a cable car, it would take about 22 trips to carry that many people. Click here to see the [...]

Two Penguins in Love

I don’t know–I think Buddy and Pedro should be given an egg foster. What do you think?

The dictator is dead. All the hoopla has reminded my of I trip I took to Egypt in 1988 as a high school exchange student. I had a host family and was able to hang out with the friends of my host family’s teen-aged daughters. One of the friends was an teenager who I believe [...]

Thank You, Sesame Street! I LOVE my hair! UPDATE–Here are the lyrics: Don’t need a trip to the beauty shop, ’cause I love what I got on top. It’s curly and it’s brown and it’s right up there! You know what I love? That’s right, my hair! I really love my hair. I love my [...]

Last year about this time I had just finished taking an evening screenwriting class at Emory University. Over the years I had taken some writing classes, figuring I had a screenplay or novel in me somewhere. Needless to say, I had several pages here, several pages there, but no finished product. So I really loved [...]
Do I Look Like a Sucker?

Today was the second consecutive time I have been in the grocery store and someone has approached me for money. The first woman was walking around with a frozen pizza in her grocery cart asking for money to feed her kids. I told her I didn’t have any cash– which was true. But I’ll admit [...]
